What FOA Members Commit To

DBS Checks

We serve grieving, often vulnerable families; safety and trust are of paramount importance. All members must undergo regular DBS and continued DBS vetting.

Dispute Resolution Panel

We hope this never happens, but should an issue arise between a Celebrant and family or funeral operative, then the FOA provides a a neutral, diverse board of experienced professionals that will help to find a resolution quickly and fairly.

Support for Each Other

Officiants deal with emotionally intense work on a daily basis. Support from the FOA ensures that none of our members have to walk that path alone.

Safeguarding Courses

FOA members will be required to attend regular safeguarding awareness courses.
